We'd love to hear more about what you think about the game: what you like, and what we could improve.  It helps everyone if you could please keep your comments constructive and concise.

Also, for example, if you feel that the game is too easy, it will be helpful to know how far you played, whether you tried Invasion Mode, etc.

We'll be following this thread closely.  Thank you for your support and for taking the time to write to us!

    • Unfreezing the towers is quite annoying, but this can also be considered as a standard annoyance you have in a cold place...
    • On my small screen (S4 mini) with my large fingers I sometimes sell towers although I just want to build something new or, most likely, unfreeze some tower. It would be nice to have a "STOP! DON'T SELL!" button or something alike.
    • I really like the "planning" feature, i.e. to set up some tower or upgrade before the money is there. However, this does not work when replacing a tower by another one. It would be nice to be able to sell a tower and, while the red progress bar is active, command which tower should be placed at that position after selling the old tower is complete.
    • Maybe to work against all the "expensive!" comments: try to make more clear how wool is earned and that the game can easily be enjoyed without spending additional money.

My favorite type of maps are the follow the path type. Can you add more in the next update? A whole campaign of them would be awesome. Also, endless mode, possibly use all unlocked towers, not limited to 4-6.

    One devoted TM fan's feedback:

    TowerMadness

The graphics are, really, juvenile. TM1 seemed like much more of an adult game. 2 reminds me of inferior tower defense games (e.g. Elf defense, which is lame). The pointy finger thing? C'mon. Killing me.

Unacceptable to limit the towers you can select. Almost ruins the game.

    Overheating? Annoying, but not unacceptable.

Why do we still not have a battery indicator and clock? I play TM until my battery ideas and I am late. These have been oft complained about features that should have Ben added.

The anticipatory tower upgrade .... Fantastic.

Loss of the easy access to leaderboards and videos ... Disappointing.

I really like TM2. I am excited to see where it goes. I miss the flamethrower and the mines from TM, the power and the ability to stop a single alien without the placement of a tower, respectively. My favorite type of maps are the follow the path, more in the next update would be cool...a whole campaign set of them would be awesome. Endless mode was a fun addition that you guys made to TM, could you add it to TM2? Maybe add the use of all unlocked towers on endless mode, not just limited to 4-6, maybe. An in-game FAQ and description of the damage and cost of each upgrade, rather than just the highest unlocked, like there was in TM might be helpful to players.

I totally agree about freezing mechanic, it freeze too fast and makes the game very tedious. In my opinion, i miss the choise of different game speed, 1x - 2x - 4x, and what about flamet. Landmine and the other ones? I hope in future relases. However i have to notify you a bug about restoring game from my ipad to the iphone. If i choose the ipad backup, (112 stars), it doesn't let me continue from the point, but from the first level and 0 star, like nothing has been loadeded. However if i try ti restore the ipad backup where i had 22 stars it load the point and i can continue. I've tried to reinstall tm2, reboot the iphone, but nothing. Sorry for my bad english, have a nice day. Bye all

I loved TM 1 on my iphone and of course purchased all the upgrades and played for years. I was so excited to see TM 2 come out for android now that I have the nexus 7. Unfortunately the permissions that must be granted to this game are ridiculous. You need to see my phone calls? Or all of my accounts on the phone?

The only reason for these is data collection. I will not be installing this until I can play a game without having my phone calls monitored...

first off I'm a big fan I love both TM games you guys do great work.

That said, IMO the shrink bubble is distracting to me- could we have the option to turn it off? Also I wish that the replays were not taken away.

I would like the ability to keep a game saved and resume it after quitting the app; the three seconds to resume the defense like TM and Nuts! Would be much appreciated.

The original game is my all-time favourite Tower Defence game. Whilst the graphics and some elements of TowerMadness2 are improvements, there are a number of issues that really detract from this version. In order of annoyance:
    1) biggest gripe, the freezing towers idea is just terrible, TRULY terrible. Over-heating weapons not much better. This one feature alone made me stop playing the game.
    2) the maps feel far too small compared to the original. If the graphic detail has to be cut a little to provide bigger maps then you should consider this. TM1 was the best because of the gameplay, not the graphics
    3) weapons slots/pre-selecting weapons just seem to be there to provide more IAPs. Buying weapons and maps is something I don't mind (bought all in TM1), but weapon slots seems a little mercenary.

I hope you find these comments constructive. TM2 has potential but it has a number of significant issues that hopefully are addressed soon.

    Regards

    Mike

Why do energy weapons say they hit ground and air targets? They only work on ground.

Some map like Arroyo is very difficult and requires lots of planning like putting towers in advance to see the best location. I wish we can save it so that when we fail and need adjustment we don't have to recreate the towers placement on the map from scratch.

I even have to take picture with my hand phone for it :)

If I could give it 0 stars I would. All and I mean all of the goodness of Tower Madness has been scrapped. I am a certified Tower Madness addict. I have gone so far as to return an Android phone after 1 day because it did not support Tower Madness. After finishing the 1st level I half expected a "Funny or Die" video to play. That way I would have known that this new version is a joke by design. This new version has taken a slick, unique, and fun game and turned it into an also ran. I want my money back.

I don't enjoy the new freezing mechanic in ice level, it makes those levels tedious instead of fun. I'd enjoy those levels much more without this new mechanic.

I agree with almost all these comments. Perhaps I can sum up all that is wrong with TM2 by telling a little story.

The Limbic family open a restaurant, there are just a few of them but their passion for food is unparalleled, over time they build up a loyal following through ever increasing perfection of a delicious menu. They make a good living from charging a fair amount for a great meal with healthy portions. However these good times don't last and one day a new fast food place opens up next door. EeeYa Burgers have a big sign outside "Free burgers" and customers flock in, they don't even seem to mind when the "free burgers" don't include the meat or the sauce... Just the bun, but customers buy the meat, the sauce, the fries all as separate add-ons to their "free" burgers, EeeYa Burgers are a runaway success leaving the Limbic family shaking their heads whilst looking at their Michelin stars, "I don't understand it" one says, "EeeYa customers just get tricked, they think its free but they end up spending sooo much more, and the portions are sooo small". The head of the Limbic family looks at the awards, the artefacts of a bygone era of game development and a tear rolls down his cheek, and says... "Well, if thats what the customer wants"

I really enjoyed Tower Madness and am currently having fun going through TM2 (iPhone and iPad). I am glad the extra slot was reduced but I got used to being able to use any weapon I wanted, not a limited amount decided prior to round (kind of like PvZ). I haven't beat every level yet but are there longer levels? One of my favorite ways to play is a really long level that tests your ability to use the map and upgraded weapons. So far they are all pretty short and I don't play long enough to upgrade everything. Really like the game though and I'm excited to see what comes next.

    1. Keep beating last level of desert campaign losing no sheep, only get 3 stars. Samsung Galaxy III.
    2. I hate the weapon placement interface, prone to error, hard to control, often in the way.
    3. Never have done a max level tower upgrade, too expensive.
    4. Hate the heating/cooling dynamic, detracts from the strategy element.
    5. Would rather play TM1, no longer have a compatible device.
    6. Tower design changes are net negative.

I loved TM and I like TM2 but I do not find TM2 nearly as easy to jump in and play. It does not seem to be nearly as user friendly.

The PvZ style system of only allowing so many towers per level is incredibly irritating.

The menu system is not as intuitive as the original TM. I shouldn't have to think/remember where to go to perform an action in a mobile game.

The leaderboard/video system on TM1 was much better.

Also, it isn't easy to find answers. I am playing on a Nexus 7 and I do not have an option to record my game (No camera in-game), I could not easily figure how to do it. Still haven't.

I had no issue with the price but it was nice to receive the wool.

I'll keep looking for updates, though.

Hi @Randy, great feedback! - The Plasma and Shrink towers do affect flying enemies. The Tesla (electro tower) targets flying enemies at level 4.

Bring back the replays that were included in the leaderboards, that was a key feature that kept me playing the original to get "perfect" games on all levels. It was great to see other players tactics, and it was a key differentiator to me when comparing the game to other TD games.

A couple of ideas: Difficulty levels for endless mode, choose what the tower targets first (boss, first, last), option to continue playing after completing set number of rounds, and multiplayer, vs or work together to complete very intense and challenging maps (Bluetooth and/or wifi). Also, a challenge mode where only a certain number of towers are allowed on the map or only certain towers can be used. And, lastly, new charcters—Bo and Xen. And more things to spend wool on, bonuses, maps, special content, etc.

After solving all levels 4-stars a few comments:
    - with the new wool-prices the game got a lot better, now it's possible to play without buying anything in game. But I don't like the idea of weapon slots, it's nearly impossible to solve the last campaign without 6 different weapons - and it would be more strategic to combine all available weapons.
    - the levels are too easy. Except for the last 4-5 maps I've been able to win all levels in invasion mode first try, and, due to limited tower slots, without using any slow up/stunning towers. In tm1 that wouldn't have been possible. There are several maps i couldn't win in invasion mode, and it took me several months to will all games 10/10 without using the ingamepurchase-weapons. (I purchased and tried them later, and I am happy that they are not in tm2, I didn't like them 'cause they made the game a lot easier)
    - the frost-maps are annoying. It might be a little realistic that there is frost on unused weapons, or, maybe, on electric ones. But on fire weapons used all the time it makes no sense, why should they freeze? I spend more time tapping the frozen towers then thinking about strategy (and won nearly all maps first try 10/10, therefore once again, it was too easy)
    - in the desert maps there should be a greater difference within heating up of different towers, perhaps to make weaker weapons more effective or kind of that.
    - I miss the endless mode

Finally, I have to say that I prefer tm1, which was more strategic, gave more options how to solve a level and had everything to make it one of the best games for iOS. But to be fair, the second on is new and I hope it's getting more like the first one ;)

I have a ton of "Tower Defense" games.  I would not trade TM 1 for the dozen other similar games that I have.  Now I do not need to hold on to the dozen or so other knock off games. because they are all here in TM 2.  BO same idea as the Lawnmowers in Plants vs Zombies, Map same look as Field Runner 2, Weapons same as Total Defense.  I would not trade a single weapon in TM 1 for the whole TM 2 game.   TM 1 a Map, Weapons, and Aliens = months and months of fun.   TM 2 I think I could do every level in a day, not that I would choose to as it gets boring very quickly with the roll playing etc.  I hate the fact that the maps are SO small and the placement of the towers is very limited.   I so much wish and certainly would have paid a lot more that the price of TM 2 if Limbic would have just added a new weapon to TM 1.  No need to add new maps, I haven not even play half of the maps I have now.  Could you not have just changed the Aliens to Tanks or something added a couple new weapons and called it a day???  You even copied yourself!  Just a single new weapon for TM 1, but instead a whole new game with the same weapons with a new look.

Sent an email last night to support, but thought I would add some of my (revised) observations here:

Overall I really appreciate the new design, the detail and expressiveness of the characters and landscape is quite nice. I like setting weapons to auto-upgrade once the money is available, and getting percentage feedback on how much boosters are adding.

Admittedly I was getting annoyed by the rather steep pricing of upgrades and weapon slots as the game progressed. Don't get me wrong, I bought every map and extra in the original and certainly don't mind paying for them now. I truly understand that developers have to make a living, it's just that the recent overabundance of IAP heavy apps have left a sour taste in many users' mouths, and the sheer amount of them in this app compared to the original makes us rather suspicious.

    My laundry list of concerns:

    1. Where are the game replays by other users? This was one of my favorite features. I know there is the new camera function, but it is rather awkward and doesn't replace the replay feature in any way.

    2. Why only two game speeds now? I enjoyed having the three options.

    3. How long before my beloved mines, flamethrowers and such come along? I'm only in the desert now.

    4. I have to admit, part of me thinks the overheating and freezing is an interesting element, the other part really really hates it. And does the boost have any real effect on the cooling? Perhaps these settings should be optional for higher points, like Invasion Mode?

    5. I kind of wish the cutesy factor (smiling stars in particular) had been taken down a notch. I appreciate many of the other enhancements, but it is teetering slightly over into Candy Krush/Nintendo over-saturation.

    6. The 3D zoom in function is a bit odd, I can get in close but then it pulls back again.

    7. I really miss having the lower priced plasmatron for path building. Seems the lowest price weapon we have now is the mortar, which is annoying as at least I could build paths with the plasmatron and know that they would affect both ground and air, particularly if I upgraded them later.

Will add more as I go. Thanks for listening!

I mentioned this earlier and several people have echoed it but there needs to be longer and larger maps. I would love to see a massive map, open or path. So big it takes the aliens minutes to cross. Make some that have hundreds of rounds. Endless mode would be great too (which I know you're working on) but I also enjoy having a conclusion to reach. I do miss the flame thrower but right now I doubt I've ever be able to use it because so many of the maps are so short. I wish there was a way to turn off overheating/freezing if I wanted to just play the map without worrying about that, otherwise I'm stuck with the beginning maps. Very much looking forward to the first update.

I was hoping if they could add multiplayer and split screen. My friend and I go each place to play each other and it was thrill but towermadness does not have that. That's why we were hoping if they will upgrades our feedback... Great game.. but challenge whew!!! :)
